POSITION SUMMARY:

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will receive, store and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse and prepare items to be shipped, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.   

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Verify all serial numbers and parts shipping are correct.
  2. Wrap and tag all pallets and boxes for shipping.
  3. Ensure parts are delivered to phosphate department as needed.
  4. Assist with pulling materials for saw when needed.
  5. Wrap all individual parts for order shipping by ground.
  6. Load and unload delivery trucks.
  7. Prepare parts for shipping to subcontractors.
  8. Verify packing list against PO on ground shipments and incoming repairs.
  9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
  2. Shipping and receiving experience a must.
  3. Forklift experience a plus.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:

  1. Must have basic computer skills.
  2. Must have ability to operate a forklift.
  3. Must have ability to multi-task.
  4. Must be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy.
  5. Ability to think outside of the box and utilize reasonable deduction.
  6. Possess excellent communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Environment: Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor shop environment; exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, and all types of weather and temperature conditions. 

Physical: Primary functions require physical ability and mobility to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; to infrequently climb on ladders or stairs; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight; to operate assigned equipment and vehicles; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds. Personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel toe shoes and safety glasses, must be worn at all times while in the shop.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction. 

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  1. All employees are to be indoctrinated in the QMS within sixty (60) days of hire.
