Position Summary 

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for all equipment maintenance activities within the facility. In addition to maintenance projects, the MM may be asked to assist with other repairs to the production equipment and facility. 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Troubleshoot and repair all equipment in facility including production equipment, die heaters, CNC machines, production saws, polishing/grinding machines, forklifts, air compressors, and presses.
  • PM duties as assigned.
  • Fabrication and modification for existing equipment as needed.
  • Hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
  • Document and communicate equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
  • New projects as assigned.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and positive action through a display of courtesy, cooperation, and professionalism.

Experience and Education  

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience mechanical and hydraulic repairs.
  • Welding experience.
  • Minimum electrical knowledge.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Must have knowledge of safety and environmental issues.

Physical Demands 

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing during the shift
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Must be able to push/pull up to 40 lbs
  • Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
