The NPI Manufacturing Engineer II develops, implements, and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. Collaborate with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products. Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

What will you be doing?

• Lead project meetings (internally and externally) as required to address manufacturing of new products.
• Lead PFMEA teams (internally and externally) to complete analysis
• Prepare and present Design Transfer work at Design Reviews
• Develop BOM and complete PLM and SAP work for new products.
• Assist production sites with routing development as required.
• Complete print reviews and provide recommendations for manufacturability.
• Analyze process capability data and make recommendations based on output.
• Support QE in completion of MSA tasks and control plan development.
• Assist with the development of CER's for new product launches.
• Assist with development of process capability, validation protocols and V&V strategies.
• Materials experience/knowledge with manufacturing using (all or some): Titanium, Aluminum, Cobalt Chrome, Stainless Steels, medical grade plastics, etc.
• Process experience/knowledge with (all or some): machining of metals and/or plastic (e.g., lathe, mill, CNC, EDM, multi-axis equipment), casting, forging, grinding, finishing, complex assembly, etc.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice/Shop Floor Control.

What will you need to be successful?

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology
• Minimum of two years in Engineering
• Requires knowledge and experience in own field; still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills.
• Builds knowledge of the company, processes, and customers.
