Indiana Beverage is family-owned beer and beverage distributor servicing northwest and north central Indiana. We have an immediate opening for a Driver Trainee in South Bend and the surrounding areas.
- Starting at $20 per hour, $21 upon obtaining CDL permit, $24 upon obtaining Class-A CDL

A Driver Trainee works full-time assisting a driver with the delivering and handling of our products while learning the logistics of the market area, learning specific delivery processes, and customer service skills, all while being trained to earn a Class-A CDL. Earn up to $68,000 when you become a Route Driver!

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must 21 years of age holding a valid driver’s license with DWI/OWI free driving record that can be company insurable.
- Must be able to pass a post-offer drug screen, criminal background check, DOT Physical and essential functions screening credit check, reference check, MVR driving record review, of safe driving record that is DWI/OWI free and company insurable.
- Must be able to obtain a salesman’s permit.
- Must be committed to the responsible use of alcohol and understand and adhere to local and federal alcohol related laws.
- Must be able to understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit or stand for an extended period of time; talk, hear, climb, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach, bend, twist, turn, squat, go up and down stairs and ramps, and carry on a repetitive basis.
This employee must have the ability to lift 160 lbs. from ground level; ability to pull 2100 lbs. with the use of a pallet jack; ability to push 250 lbs. with the use of a two-wheel hand cart. Ability to lift 30 lbs. overhead level. Must be able to climb in and out of truck throughout the day. This employee may lift or move an average of 50 lbs and/or up to 169 lbs. with or without a hand truck.
