Job Description
Summary
Assemble subassemblies and top assemblies of simple to most complex product line that includes but is not limited to commercial parts for customer such as Boeing, Airbus, and Commercial Aircraft operators worldwide.
This position requires performing routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes for aircraft solutions in a manual manufacturing assembly line environment. Works in a team environment participating in continuous improvement activities. Uses basic hand tools, equipment, and power tools (cordless drill). Performs all other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assembly mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and top assemblies. Ensure activities are performed correctly using proper tooling and documentation.
Solder to IPC-J-STD-001 electro-mechanical assembly on through hole and surface mount components
Perform visual inspection, identify any defective items and handle according to established procedures and processes.
Must have the ability to utilize hand tools such as, but not limited to, pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, arbor press, vises, soldering iron, depth micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges or specialized equipment.
Proficient interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, verbal, and/or written instructions.
Perform cross training when required.
Proactively identify and assist in process improvements.
Determine when and if Engineering Change Order (ECO) is required. May work with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering departments to implement assembly procedures.
May act as department representative in customer audits/visits.
Adhere to operational procedures and ensure tooling is in calibration before use.
Maintain clean and safe work area; Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
Other duties as assigned. May be temporarily reassigned to cover workload in other areas of production as necessary.
Reworks units rejected by inspection or test personnel.
Follows safety procedures in the use and handling of flammable and hazardous chemicals required to meet all cleanliness specifications.
Must be able to follow specific procedures and detailed instructions completely.
Ensures that quality checks are completed throughout the manufacturing process.
Records information on production records, logs and other report forms.

Education and/or Experience
Requires a high school diploma and some degree of vocational or technical training; 0-2 years of directly related experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to enter time and data into a computer system. An individual may require knowledge of database software; inventory software; manufacturing software; spreadsheet software and/or word processing software.

Follows all import/export requirements, consulting with facility import/export personnel as required.
Other Skills and Abilities
Basic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen

Salary Range:
$41,800.00-$55,880.000Pay Transparency
