Summary:
Perform quality assurance and quality control inspection duties, including inspection of product at various stages in the manufacturing process, instruments, and gauges as required to ensure the dimensional and visual integrity of product in accordance with all required engineering, quality specifications, standards, goals and objectives.
Successful Candidates will perform the following duties:
• First Article Inspection (FAI) creation and submission
• Follow standardized procedures with allowable variations defined
• Run CMM machine to inspect parts
• Raw material, In-Process, Final, and 1st part buy off inspection
Requirements
• A high school diploma / GED
• A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing or shop experience
• Must have a strong working knowledge of common inspection measuring equipment including but not limited to surface plates, micrometers, height gages, radius gages, protractors, profilometers, bore gauges and dial indicators etc.
• Experience performing Rockwell Hardness and Conductivity Testing.
• ASQ CQI or CQT certification preferred.
• Knowledgeable of industry related standards, particularly J-STD-001, IPCA-620A, ASTM, and API requirements.
• Must have excellent GD&T working knowledge and inspection skills, including the effective use of PCM’s with the ability to determine correct elevations, cross sectional and detail views as required.
• Experience performing receiving, first part, in process, and final inspection.
• Experience writing first article inspection reports.
• Proactive and self-motivated in accomplishing quality function objectives.
• Excellent communication skills with strong attention to details and ability to multi-task.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
