About the Role: As a Warehouse Supervisor at MeriCal, you will lead and energize a dynamic team to ensure efficient warehousing operations, from receiving raw materials to shipping finished products, all while maintaining inventory accuracy and safety standards. Your responsibilities include:

  • Supervision and Coordination: Direct, coordinate, and supervise daily activities of warehouse staff to ensure accurate inventory, storage, and safe securing of products.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee weekly cycle counts and annual physical inventory, troubleshooting issues as needed.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Purchasing, Customer Service, Quality Assurance, Production, and front office staff to ensure on-time delivery and effective communication.
  • Safety Oversight: Ensure safety protocols are followed, report safety incidents, and oversee safe operation of forklifts, including training and re-certifying drivers as required.
  • Warehouse Operations: Manage picking, receiving, shipping, and inventory control activities.
  • Training and Development: Train warehouse employees, evaluate their performance, and make recommendations for advancements.
  • System Management: Maintain accuracy in ERP/WMS systems and troubleshoot related issues.
  • Logistics Coordination: Schedule pickups and deliveries with trucking companies, ensuring all associated paperwork is accurate and complete.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the entire shift as needed.
  • Scheduling: Coordinate work schedules and recommend overtime and staffing needs to the Warehouse Manager.

About You: 

You are a hands-on leader with strong logistics expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for optimizing warehouse operations while ensuring safety and team motivation. In addition, you have: 

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of warehouse employees.
  • Strong background in warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods, ideally in a Food/Nutra Manufacturing or high-velocity shipping environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing inventory systems, performing cycle counts, and leading annual physical inventories.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, with experience in enforcing safety protocols and reporting safety incidents.
  • Proficient in using ERP/WMS systems (e.g., Mas500) and MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for inventory tracking and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies, shipment delays, and system errors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with cross-functional teams, external partners, and internal staff.
  • Ability to collaborate with Purchasing, Customer Service, Quality Assurance, Production, and other departments to meet customer needs and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Experience in training and evaluating warehouse staff, with a focus on continuous improvement and skill development.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment, ideally in a Food/Nutra Manufacturing or high-velocity shipping environment.
  • Must be forklift certified.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-volume department and communicate effectively with key departments and managers.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Proficiency in computer systems including Excel, Windows, and Mas500
