JOB SUMMARY:
The Casework Drafter is responsible for technical tasks in Revit and AutoCAD software. The Casework Drafter is responsible for assisting field personnel and project management in creating presentation drawings, design drawings, construction drawings and project documents. These documents represent the concepts and details of several disciplines including architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. The Casework Drafter works from sketches, models, written and verbal information supplied by sales personnel, designers, engineers, and architects to determine the most appropriate views, details, and supplementary information needed to complete projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
• Manage complex designing and drafting assignments under minimal supervision
• Create drawings and models from written and verbal specifications
• Prepare submittal packages of shop drawings and product data
• Work w/engineers/architects on model accuracy, design, drafting standards & design documentation
• Work closely with designers, other drafters, and engineers to ensure coordination design efforts are maintained
• Resolve and reconcile discrepancies between architect/engineering plans and company’s standard manufacturing processes and update shop drawings to reflect all revisions
• Complete project responsibilities within scope and schedule
• Review drawings for completeness and accuracy & maintain all revisions of project drawings
• Maintain digital library of models and blocks
• Update and maintain job/project work logs and reports
• Review and examine engineering drawings for compliance with cited specifications
• Provide timely technical assistance and solutions to team members
• Participate in project meetings and conference calls as required
• Independently exercise excellent judgment as to important tasks, while always considering the customer’s and company’s best interests
• Prioritize tasks among and between projects and communicate those priorities

• Knowledge of general construction practices and national, state and local building codes
