Position Summary/Objective of job: 

The Quality Assurance Technician job is to guarantee consistent quality and safety of our ice cream products. This position will be directly responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, food safety standards, sanitation, and government regulations. It will require collecting samples, weighing, measuring, and documenting quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of food safety regulations, quality control procedures, and a passion for maintaining excellence in food manufacturing. 

Qualifications


Position Summary/Objective of job: 

The Quality Assurance Technician job is to guarantee consistent quality and safety of our ice cream products. This position will be directly responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, food safety standards, sanitation, and government regulations. It will require collecting samples, weighing, measuring, and documenting quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of food safety regulations, quality control procedures, and a passion for maintaining excellence in food manufacturing. 

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.   

  • 3+ years working in commercial food preparation, manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment. 

  • 2+ years in a QA/QC role within the food manufacturing industry, preferably in ice cream or dairy products. 

  • Strong understanding of food safety principles and pertinent local, federal, and state health and safety laws and regulations; HACCP and FSMA regulations. 

  • Experience with laboratory testing equipment and techniques, including pH meters, refractometers, spectrophotometers, and microbiological analysis. 

  • Experience with MS Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

  • Degree in Biology, Food Science, Chemistry, Biological Science, or related field preferred.  

  • HACCP and PCQI certification preferred. 

  • SQF experience preferred. 

  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends, holidays, or overtime as needed to support production schedules and quality initiatives. 

 

Knowledge and Critical Skills: 

  • Fluency in English. 

  • Good counting and math skills. 

  • Excellent attention to detail.  

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers. 

  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team/with teams in a manufacturing facility. 

  • Ability to uphold a high standard of service, efficiency, sanitation, and safety. 

 

Wage Transparency 

We are actively embracing pay transparency by disclosing the hiring wage for this role as $22.50-$24/hr, highlighting its full earning potential within the broader range of $22.50-$27.50/hr.
