Directs the development and implementation of activities in repair, overhaul, or modification of avionics units to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Monitors P&L, operational and financial performance of centers to ensure performance objectives are met. Monitors customer satisfaction and market growth, taking action as needed to remedy problems and explore opportunities.

The typical hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Directly supervises Part 145 MRO facility on day shift.

  • Supervises repair, overhaul, or modification of units to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.

  • Plans, recommends, and coordinates the sequencing and allocation of daily workload; Assigns jobs according to the skills, experience, and training of mechanics; Develops requirement forecasts; Investigates the recoverability of parts and components and determines appropriate reconditioning processes.

  • Have expert knowledge of various avionics systems, basic electronics theories and associated circuitry and components.

  • Has expert knowledge of Operating Procedures and understand why they are needed.

  • Be able to research and determine what Operating Procedures apply to the task at hand and follow them. May be expected to communicate this knowledge to peers and colleagues

  • Provides assistance to various internal and external customers associated with complex contract and external customer pricing and quotes.

  • May provide single point of contact on major engineering flight test certification and modification programs for intra-company departments and/or customer.

  • Actively supports team concepts between shifts, sections, and individuals.

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.6

  • Must have an electronics background or education with 2+ years complimentary work history in a manufacturing or service environment.

  • Prior experience in a leadership capacity.

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:

  • 5+ years of experience in a FAA Repair Station preferred.

  • FAA repairman/Part 145 experience.

  • Lean Green Belt.

  • Aviation MRO experience.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
