Raytheon has an opportunity for a Manufacturing Value Stream Lead in the GEMT Missile Factory. Responsibilities include full leadership and management accountability with all aspects of safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance for a multi-cell/shift operation. The Manager will be responsible for setting the standard and driving operational excellence throughout the cells holding both themselves and team accountable.
The GEMT Missile Factory low volume high mix model of products with a combination of both test and assembly of multiple deliverable assemblies. This role also encompasses responsibilities relative to infrastructure improvements, Capital investment plan formulation as well as capital execution among cross functional partners. GEM-T factory is being completely transitioned from a physical lay-out standpoint and this role has oversight of that transformation.
Daily interaction with other cross-business teams needed to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include technical support, manufacturing/test/design engineering, maintenance, production control and finance as well as multiple Integrated Product Teams. Achieving/exceeding safety, quality, delivery, cost goals and identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using Core and lean methodologies are critical performance criteria for this position.

- Workforce planning and forecasting
- Employee hiring and training.
- Driving cost reduction initiatives
- Ensuring the full compliance of company policies and procedures
- Operating within the contractual requirements set forth in a bargaining unit environment.
- Physical layout project management
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires university degree or equivalent experience and 8 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a government US security clearance prior start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Management experience in direct or indirect factory or supporting personnel.
- Experience with unit hour performance, cost account management or other budgetary duties and familiarity with Raytheon systems (PRISM, PDM, VBS).
- Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with lean and CORE project implementations.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), presentation skills and ability to make decisions with minimal supervision, goal setting, delegation, coaching, and motivating.
- High computer literacy skill working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
