This unique position working in our MICRO-electronics lab supports internal and external customer funded programs. In addition to working on industry leading technology you would be a key member of the team that develops new processes, test and analyzes results and creates advanced parts in the MICRO-electronics.
This role will be performed ONSITE in our Collins Aerospace location in Cedar Rapids, IA.
What YOU Will Do:
Responsibilities:
- The successful applicant must be able to assist the engineering research and technology development effort in the areas of plating, wet etching, dicing, bonding, laminating, sputtering and general micro-fab processes.
- Successful candidate must be able to work independently, take initiative, and be able to provide innovative and creative solutions to complex problems.
- Applicant must be able to work well with a structured schedule and meeting time commitments.
- Successful applicant must be able to work effectively managing multiple tasks, process steps and understand the flow of work.
- Mechanical ability- use of manual hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of chemical processing, background in using chemical combinations and storage.
- Ability to lift 50lbs without assistance

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Efficient at Microsoft Office- Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Knowledge of photolithography, electroplating, and planarization.
