Description
This role works as part of a two-person team to effectively execute inventory counts to maintain timeliness and count integrity while also serving as an individual contributor within the Facilities team. This role contributes to improving operational efficiency by solving maintenance logistical obstacles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Places materials in designated inventory cage. Records location in Maintenance Connection (MC).
- Develops or improves upon inventory management procedures.
- Compiles balance, price, and cost reports.
- Supports 5s – 6s lean process to improve storage locations and visualization of this space.
- Uses reports key performance indicators (KPI’s) to identify improves such as slow maintenance inventory turns.
- Retrieve requested items from inventory for building preventative maintenance (PM) kits.
- Work with maintenance planner for building PM kits
- Responsible for the completion of Maintenance work orders and related paperwork.
- Maintains areas in a clean and orderly manner.
- Transports materials to and from multiple locations.
- Conducts and maintains cycle count program and performs root cause analysis when needed.
- Conducts physical inventory audits of stock locations not included in the cycle count program as scheduled.
- Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
- Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate CB policies and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining clean, orderly and hazard-free work areas.
- Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate the following competencies:
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work extended hours.
- Understands physical inventory audits.
- Ability to read, write and understand written English language.
- Sufficient computer and keyboarding skills.
- Forklift experience is beneficial.
- Ideal candidate will be detail oriented, hard-working, with inventory control experience.
- Have great interpersonal skills that foster team building and supporting the Maintenance team.
- Ability to write and read English.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) required.
- 1 – 2+ years’ experience in inventory control.
- Excellent math and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Access, Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Have practical experience in Lean and 6s practices.

- Specific vision includes ability to read items up close.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
- Applicable to specific manufacturing/Maintenance area requirements, including but not excluding protective eyewear/face mask, protective gloves, and ear plugs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- When in manufacturing areas, may be exposed to odors and have physical contact with adhesive, cutting fluids and other industrial elements.
- Heavy lifting at times = < 50 lbs.
- Will be exposed to bright light, noise, heat, cold, dust, etc.
