About the Role

We are looking for someone that can assemble structural metal products using a large variety of tools and machines. You will interpret blueprints, drawings and other written/verbal instructions and then weigh in on project scope and requirements. This is a great chance for a dependable hard worker to build a solid experience and grow with a committed company.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to operate, band saws, mills, drills, grinding and forming/steel processing equipment
• Maintains a safe clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
• Wear proper PPE
• Operate forklift and overhead crane
• Ensure all equipment is properly setup and maintained

Location & Commitments

• Permanent full-time role based in Dixon, IL
• Monday – Thursday 6:30 am - 5:00 pm

Benefits Include

Pay Range of $17.79 - $23.13 depending on experience

Productivity Bonus, paid quarterly. Average 2023 payout was $4/hour. Payouts are based on overall company profitability, and attendance

$500 sign on bonus, paid after 90 days of employment

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to read a tape measure and interpret blueprint, schematics and work instruction diagrams.
• Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.
• Basic understanding of mathematics as related to fabrication assignments.

Education and Experience:

• 1 year experience fabricating.
• Experience using band saw, drills, grinding and forming/steel processing equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
