Job Title: LSP Field Services Estimator

Reports To: Estimating Manager

FLSA Status: Salary, Exempt

Job Summary:

The Lifecycle Performance Services (“LPS”) Field Services Estimator is responsible for generating costing for various field service projects. Specifically, the Field Services Estimator will provide costing and proposal content for projects such as onsite resident maintenance, emergency onsite repairs, training, assessments, preventative maintenance, 24x7 support, etc. At times, the Field Service Estimator may also generate costing and proposal content for quick moving controls / mechanical changes to existing material handling systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the existing FORTNA toolset to generate costs related to all field service projects
  • Generate proposal documentation in Microsoft Word format
  • Collaborate with internal segment leaders as required to quantify labor / material costs, as well as verifying resource availability based on project schedules
  • Generate RFQ documentation for external material and labor suppliers when necessary
  • Participate in meetings to review project scope and costing with segment leaders and LPS management

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong mathematical aptitude
  • Ability to analyze AutoCAD 2D drawings is a plus, but not required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to communicate, both orally and written, at all levels of the business and with customers
  • Ability to perform detailed oriented work in a timely manner, ensuring deadlines are achieved
  • Ability to keep excellent records and details of documentation of the entire phase of the proposal process
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time with changing priorities
  • Ability to travel to job sites and attend customer meetings. Approximately 5% travel

Education and Experience:

  • Experience in estimating project costs is strongly desired, but not required
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in engineering is desired, but not required
  • Experience in the material handling industry is desired, but not required
