Data Management Specialist Controls

Job Summary:

Our client in Dearborn, MI is looking for a Data Management Specialist Controls. This is a contract position.

What You Will Do:

The Core Vehicle Controls department supports the Model-E organization to supply simulation models used to design and validate ECU software. We are seeking a proactive, energetic, quality focused, technically minded individual to help our team of simulation engineers to significantly improve our Quality Operating System (QOS). We are looking to this role for focused leadership in improving documentation and creating metrics for tracking our progress and quality output. The candidate will study our existing operating process and make recommendations for improvement, lead team workstreams to implement changes, and report our progress to the internal team & key stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate frequently with global team of modeling, integration, research and DevOps teams to monitor and improve quality of delivered VMAPS products.
  • Lead projects to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Design processes for quality configuration management and release integrity.
  • Monitor and maintain quality related data in dashboards and use the data to drive actions to improve quality.
  • Run correlation analysis in the quality fleet and document any possible issue that could impact our customers.
  • Work with DevOps to start and improve QA environment implemented in GCP.
  • Create/enhance/develop our design review process for incorporating formal reviews to manage change control in our simulation repository.
  • Review and enhance existing documentation for model development and process controls.

Basics:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Information Technology/Analytics, or Business Administration.
  • 3-5 years experience creating/updating/maintaining QOS metrics/systems/dashboards.
  • 1-3 years experience leading teams to collaborate internationally to design and release ECU controls software or engineering models.
