Who we are looking for

You will be responsible for driving and owning revenue growth for RBM’s precision machined component capabilities by identifying and securing new opportunities for new and current customers. The Business Development Director will engage with Re:Build Manufacturing’s Avon Lake (OH), New Kensington (PA), and Monrovia (CA) sites. The role will be heavily focused on the development and growth of RBM sales and pipeline activities for RBM’s precision machining and assembly capabilities.

This role is based in Avon, OH with potential to be a hybrid/remote position.
What you get to do
  • Drive deep relationships with customers to expand our current and long-term positions and secure additional content through collaborative interactions.
  • Oversee the identification, development, and expansion of customer base and business opportunities. New business pursuits will involve multi-functional and cross-division efforts, which will require building credibility and developing relationships both inside and outside of the respective RBM sites.
  • Apply business and industry knowledge to research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, build/identify compelling opportunities, and prepare detailed business cases and recommendations.
  • Assess current capabilities and provide strategic recommendations for what additional capability would be meaningful to expand RBM’s reach as a world class provider of machined metallics.
  • Position RBM machining capabilities in various market segments that include, but are not limited to commercial aerospace, medical, defense, and other high spec industrial applications.
  • Contribute to RBM’s acquisition strategy when evaluating and recommending additional capabilities or manufacturing footprint.
  • Maintain a current and accurate customer level monthly, quarterly, annual and multi-year forecast for the business.
  • Complete necessary administrative responsibilities such as maintaining a current CRM pipeline, timely submission of monthly reports, and other tasks as required.
  • Participate in relevant industry trade associations, consortiums, and events.
  • The supervisory/managerial responsibilities are partial or part-time and/or project management without direct reports.
What you bring to the team
  • 4-year bachelor’s degree (Engineering subject area strongly preferred)
  • 10+ years of business development, or relevant industry experience.
  • Technically adept with interrogating engineering drawings and understanding the criteria for good fit opportunities.
  • Experience operating in an engineering intensive environment along with process intimacy for the capabilities that RBM employs.
  • Executive level presentation skills.
