Yogi is seeking a talented, passionate, and experienced Customer Quality Specialist to join our Quality team to provide support and oversee quality programs are compliant for dietary supplement manufacturing and distribution.
The Customer Quality Specialist is responsible for working closely with both key internal and external partners to ensure customer needs for food safety and quality are met. This position will develop and present reports that track and trend quality measures and work with plant teams to provide corrective and preventative actions for consumer and customer complaints. The Customer Quality Specialist manages the quality approval and release of production batch tickets in accordance with manufacturing procedures and food safety protocols. This position may assist or lead maintenance of other elements of the Quality Management Systems as necessary.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN:
Customer Support
• Responding and investigating quality and food safety issues and inquires in a timely manner
• Providing efficient and consistent communication to our customers on scientific and quality issues whether product-specific or industry-specific (i.e. regulatory)
• Key contact and maintenance of quality related customer portals including providing requested documentation
• Serves as a technical point of contact for sales team and/or connect them to appropriate quality and other subject matter experts
Assist Document Control and Production Specialist
• BOM and MMR assistance
• Completion and quality approval of production batch tickets
• Serve as backup role to the Document Control Specialist
Continuous Improvement
• Develop and deliver routine (i.e. monthly, quarterly, yearly) business/trend reports to critical metrics and to support Food Safety Culture
• Participate in Internal Auditing program or other QMS functions
• Develop effective relationships with Operations Quality Directors and Plant Leadership Teams.
• Build confidence and trust from our customers enabling our teams to conduct ongoing business as collaborative partners.
• Participate in MRB (material review board) process for customer related incidents and held products
WHAT YOU KNOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED:
• 2+ years of relevant work experience in a quality role
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Food industry
• Experience in a production environment
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint preferred
• Interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Familiar with compliance to CFRs 110, 111, and 117

Work Environment:
• Work is divided between office, production, and warehouse settings.
• Regular desk work is performed
• Frequent warehouse environment exposure which includes noise, dust, forklifts, and fluctuations in temperature
Physical Requirements:
• Stand, walk, climb stairs
• Sitting at workstations for extended periods of time
• Able to perform work on site, in person at 1325 Westec Drive, Eugene, OR 97402, M-F, during regular business hours.
