The Coordinator of Adventure Programs will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing a variety of recreational programs and facilities. This role includes overseeing program budgets, recruiting and training a large student staff, and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants. The ideal candidate will have a passion for adventure and a commitment to promoting wellness through outdoor activities.


Example of Duties
• Recruits, hires and schedules a large student staff to support recreational programs.

• Assist in the climbing wall operations, equipment rental, trips and workshops.
• Trains student staff.
• Oversees program budget(s).
• Oversees and manages one or more facilities.
• Coordinates recreational programs.
• Reviews incident and injury reports to evaluate risk management procedures.

• Individual contributor position with developing professional and/or technical skills working under immediate to general supervision
• Grasps professional-level knowledge and concepts of field while working in a progressive learning mode
• Works on problems and issues of somewhat limited scope
• Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data for which answers are available or can be obtained
• Responds to inquiries and issues, escalating to manager or higher level workers as appropriate
• May lead projects of limited scope and complexity
• May provide guidance to students
