As a Sales & Marketing Intern at Hearst Connecticut Media Group you'll embark on a dynamic journey within the media landscape, gaining practical insights and skills essential for a successful career in sales, marketing, or advertising. Your role will be focused on sales and marketing efforts, helping you develop the core competencies necessary to excel in this field. Key responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Presentations: Assist in creating and delivering persuasive sales presentations to showcase our products and services. Utilizing Gamma.AI and other AI related presentation builders.
- Sales Calls: Join sales calls and meetings to learn the art of effective communication and negotiation.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with our sales team to provide crucial support, customer contact management, inventory management, new product success, and marketing program management.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Social Media Management: Own updating all social platforms for Hearst Connecticut Media group such as LinkedIn, Google Business Listings, and more.
- Lead Generation: Learn how to use Salesforce.com and the art of prospecting. Generate new business leads for SDRs and Sales Executives to pursue.
- Chamber Connections: Create and own ongoing project plan and calendar for local Chambers of Commerce and Events that Sales Executives can participate in.
- Interactive Content & Contests: Assist with Hearst Connecticut Media Group’s “Best of” contests and lead gen contests for clients
Your profile
Candidates for the Sales & Marketing internship role should possess the following:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program or recent graduate in Business, Sales, Marketing, Advertising, Social Media or a related field.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Enthusiastic about sales and eager to learn and grow in a sales role.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and a team player.
- Basic knowledge of sales and/or marketing principles is a plus.
- Eligible to work in the USA with no restrictions.
