ASRC Federal Technical Services is seeking a Technical Specialist to join our team that supports the Federal Aviation Administration in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. This role will make an impact by meeting the future needs of our FAA customer that includes securing data across networks in the enterprise.

SUMMARY:

• Provides expertise in the area of field support of NAS systems and NAS maintenance and operations.  Interfaces with other specialists in hardware, software, logistics, testing and system and database administration. 

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provide 2nd level engineering support for the NextGen Weather Processor and possibly other AJW-171 Weather Systems
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for hardware, software or other technical issues
• Identify and document defects, bugs and inconsistencies, technical assistance, and system maintenance in a ticketing system/database 
• Execute technical procedures related to installation, restoration, and system maintenance
• Support system development/testing/integration/deployment activities for NWP
• Review and comment on system engineering documents; system requirement documents; system testing documents
• Attend system design reviews; technical interchange meetings; any other meetings as requested to support program and team
• Provide on site support
• Perform routine maintenance tasks in a lab or operational environment
• May be tasked to support other systems within AJW-171
• Works independently under general guidelines or objectives
• Works independently with minimal supervision

Security

• US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US
• Has been living in the US for at least the past 3 years
• Successful candidate is subject to a background investigation by the government and must be able to meet the requirements to hold a position of public trust
