Conxall, located in Villa Park, Illinois, is a manufacturer of custom designed connectors and cable assemblies. We supply highly engineered harsh environment cable assembly products to the industrial, agricultural, lighting, safety, outdoor recreation, and medical industries. Conxall is currently seeking a Sustaining Engineer.

 

The Sustaining Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, redesign, improvement, and general support of existing and developmental products. The position requires coordinating engineering activities with purchasing and manufacturing, and making recommendations for parts, supplies and tooling.

 

M-F 8-4:30 - On Site Position

 

$65,000 -$70,000 annual based on experience and qualifications

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Must be able to work on several projects at one time through changing priorities
• Research into the history and current state of a product evolution
• Evaluation and resolution of customer concerns and/or production of product
• Implementation of product improvements
• Investigation of new processes and materials
• Producing and maintaining accurate project plans
• Create, read, and understand drawings for assemblies & components, Bills of Materials (BOM), industry specification documents, design analysis (tolerances, FEA, FMEA), test documentation, and product cost estimates
• Develop Customer projects from customer/sales concept to Production; includes Drawing and BOM creation, Cost Analysis, and Manufacturing Process implementation
• Responsible for communicating with other departments and monitoring project status
