The Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance plans and schedules using SAP. This role ensures that all maintenance activities are efficiently planned, scheduled, and executed to maximize equipment reliability and performance, minimize downtime, and optimize maintenance resources. 


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop detailed maintenance plans and schedules using SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) module.
  • Prioritize and plan preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Create, manage, and close work orders in SAP.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all maintenance activities.
  • Track work order progress and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts and materials required for maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of necessary parts.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, root causes of equipment failures, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Use SAP to track and report on maintenance costs and budget variances.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes, reliability, and efficiencies.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct safety audits and inspections as required.
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
  • Create purchase requests for critical and spare parts.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance planning, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficient in using SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) module, plus MS Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance management principles and best practices.
  • Must foster a positive team environment with engineers, management, craftspeople, and suppliers and contractors.
  • Excellent technical, engineering, writing, time management, problem solving, organization and communication skills (both written and verbal) required.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
