Aircraft Technology, Inc., (ATI), a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, is an FAA/EASA Part 145 Repair Station. ATI supports a wide range of rotary and fixed wing components found on both commercial and military platforms around the world.

                       

ROLE: The Spot Welder technician is responsible for preparing components used by the welding department for construction of welded sub-assemblies. Sets-up and aligns work pieces and operates resistance welding machine to join metal parts, according to work orders and blueprints.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

 

• Follow blueprints /work order, arrange metal pieces and fix them into position.
• Spot weld all metals according to specifications, including different directions such as flat, horizontal and vertical
• Safely set up and operate spot-welding machines (including portable) and other shop equipment.
• Match work orders to components.
• Process all required documentation.
• Clock in and out of work orders.
• Weld, grind and polish all metals according to component specifications.
• Ensure quality throughout the production process.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Performs other related duties as required.
