PURPOSE OF POSITION: 

Test RF components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies. Debug failures to component level.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS AND SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Follow automated and manual test procedures/instructions. Debug all failures to thecomponent level and perform the required corrective action.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    Develop an environment of continual improvement through the use of Lean tools.

2.    Promote the Bird Family Values through your actions – Trust, Innovation, Teamwork, Achievement and Accountability

3.    Test product to prescribed specifications.

4.    Record data where applicable.

5.    Debug failures to component level.

6.    Report failures to the quality system.

7.     Other duties as required.

 KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Associate of Applied Science degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology or equivalent. 5+ years experience with RF test and component level troubleshooting. 

•    Basic knowledge of RF test equipment (signal generators, signal analyzers, power meters)

•    Working knowledge of script programming 

•    Good team member

•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Grip and grasp tools and parts for assembly; repetitive lifting of materials/parts weighing 5-10 lbs; form parts and perform fine manipulation; turning and twisting wrists and hands.

DESIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCIES :

• Specialized training in basic principles or techniques in a specific area acquired through up to eighteen (18) months of education or training beyond the high school level
