What a typical day as a Cabinetworks Group Supervisor will look like:
- Interacting with your team members assigning, coordinating work and ensuring their safety and engagement.
- Managing and driving departmental performance and providing regular reports of your success.
- Identifying and participating in corrective actions for safety, processes and quality issues.
- Providing technical and behavioral coaching and development to your team members.
- Participating in continuous improvement projects to reduce material and labor costs and increase efficiencies.
- Building trusting relationships with peers to troubleshoot and problem solve as a team.
- Making sure product standards and specifications are met.
- Choosing new members for your team.
- Recommending equipment upgrades, staffing adjustments, and process modifications.
What your background looks like:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferred).
- 1-2 years supervisory experience.
- Experience with manufacturing software systems.
- Continuous improvement training such as Six Sigma or Kaizen.
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
- Ability to speak and understand the Spanish language.
- Exposure to systems controls such as ISO 140001.
- Green Belt Certification or comparable problem solving certification (preferred).
