Overview

DataPath's MaxView Enterprise Network Management System is a powerful solution that enables our customers to see the state of their entire network, control multi-vendor devices, automate complex service tasks, and unify disparate systems into one view.

We are looking for qualified, computer science/engineering co-op candidates to join our software teams in support of the development and integration of our MaxView software. A typical co-op will rotate through our software teams to get exposure to multiple tools, languages, and frameworks, (including Java, Hibernate, HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, OSGI/Knopflerfish, AngularJS, JQuery, Python, Spring, Distributed Services Architecture (DSA) and DSLink, Maven, Eclipse, Netbeans, Tomcat/TomEE and more).  Don't worry - you'll learn them as you go.

Our goal is to find candidates and share in the mutual benefits of growing co-ops into well-trained, well-prepared engineers. We have a great track record of transitioning co-ops into full-time employees after graduation.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Work alongside our software team to assist with internal and external development and integration projects.
  • Create script-based drivers to interface MaxView with customer hardware.
  • Create UI web pages.
  • Assist with programming tasks directly on the MaxView product.
  • Execute software testing to validate core product enhancements.

The most successful co-ops will have a strong passion for software development, be critical thinkers, and possess a desire to learn in a fast-paced, team environment. Some experience with software development is required.

Typically students will have completed at least one year of study and some of their majors' introductory courses.

Minimum Requirements:

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Basic software programming skills required.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, TCL, Groovy, and Web development using HTML 5 and CSS a plus.

  • Possess an outgoing personality and a team-first attitude.
  • Courage to independently seek out solutions to challenges.
  • Willingness to call attention to issues as they arise.
  • Above-average interpersonal and communication skills.
