Description
The primary focus of the Finance Manager is to support the Bloomington, IN plant operations on a day-to-day basis. Reporting to the US Controller, this individual will be heavily involved in reviewing spend and CapEx proposals along with analyzing profitability and pricing/cost reduction projects. Assisting the U.S. Controller in driving efficiency, reducing redundancy, and improving cross functional communication and collaboration will be key to this person’s success.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
· Enforce location compliance with all U.S. GAAP and company policies / procedures.
· Be able to explain results for P&L and Balance Sheet for Bloomington Operations
· Oversee, manage, and provide guidance to 1-2 direct reports, including a Cost Accountant.
· Oversee month end close process for location, ensuring all journal entries and account reconciliations are completed timely, and accurately.
· Support U.S. Controller in various initiatives, and key tasks and deliverables.
· Act as business partner, sounding board, and resource to Bloomington Operation Manager, and other location leadership team members.
· Act as finance liaison for profitability/cost/pricing projects and analysis, growth project analysis, CapEx analysis, and any other ad-hoc projects.
· Be willing to challenge colleagues and team members as needed, challenge status quo, play devil’s advocate when appropriate, and generally help keep the location focused on growth, improving profitability, and improving Working Capital.
· Support process improvement efforts to improve efficiency and effectiveness of department and location as a whole.
· Be able to simplify financial information and results, and direct key team members to pertinent facts that can help drive improvement actions.
· Be the “gatekeeper” for financial data at the location.
· Review financial systems and processes, and where necessary, drive changes and training of key individuals.
· Assist in annual budget process, and own monthly forecast process, for Bloomington operations.
· Oversee annual Standard Cost roll process, and any variances or deviations that occur throughout the year.
· Own annual Physical Inventory process for Bloomington operations.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Advanced degree or certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 6 years of work experience in accounting and financial roles within the manufacturing industry is necessary.
- Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP is mandatory.
- Strong computer skills, including enhanced knowledge of Excel, is mandatory. QAD ERP (or other similar ERP systems), Oracle Hyperion Financial Manager (HFM), Access and SQL experience is preferred.
- Alteryx, PowerBI, and CyberQuery experience is highly preferred.
- Project management experience is preferred.
