Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Clerk

Real Estate Opportunity is currently searching for a full-time Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team in Columbus, Ohio. Established in 1989, Real Estate Opportunity is a skilled, full-service sales and property management company designed to meet all your buying, selling, leasing and management needs. We currently manage a diverse portfolio consisting of over 400 rental units, as well as over 500,000 square feet of commercial, office, industrial, multifamily, and retail space.

• Pay: $44,000 – $52,000/year, offer dependent on experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a similar field is preferred
• Must have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Those with Property Management industry experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• AppFolio experience is a plus but not required
• Must have experience with some sort of accounting/billing/invoice software

Our AR/AP Clerk will:

• Prepares itemized statements, bills, and invoices and records amounts due for items purchased and services rendered.
• Processes accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Performs day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables data.
• Reconciles the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Performs general administrative tasks, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and ordering supplies and equipment.
• Creates billing documents, shipping labels, credit memorandums, and credit forms.
• Compiles reports of cost factors, such as labor, production, storage, and equipment.
• Reviews compiled data on operating costs and revenues to set rates.
• Computes credit terms, discounts, shipment charges, and rates for goods and services to complete billing documents.
