About the opportunity:

  • Measure, quantify, and benchmark acoustic response for audio products, devices and electronic components

  • Define target curves representing sound quality for audio devices

  • Tune system response for audio products

  • Design and simulate audio-related technology (i.e. Artificial Intelligence)

  • Build POC, prototypes and working models

  • Build and maintain database repository for the business

  • Data analysis

Responsibilities:

  • Test audio products and devices

  • Conduct scientific research on acoustic-related technologies (i.e. spatial audio)

  • Organize and maintain database

  • Assist the acoustic team with set up tests, audio tuning, and data analysis

Experience and skills needed:

  • Understand standard methods for measuring and analyzing audio devices

  • Hands-on experience with audio analyzers, headphone measurement fixtures, couplers, and microphones

  • Experience tuning headphones and other integrated audio systems

  • Experience using Matlab, Python, or equivalent for audio signal analysis, system modeling, and data visualization

  • Knowledge of psychoacoustics and sound quality evaluation

Per the California state statute, the estimated range of compensation for this job in that location, at the time of this posting, is $145,000 - $175,000. This position may be eligible for incentive pay, for openings where this is applicable.
