Process Safety Compliance Coordinator (PCC)

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Process Safety Compliance Coordinator will ensure that the unit is in full compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations related to OSHA 1910.119 Process Safety Management and EPA RMP 40 CFR 68.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure departmental compliance with Process Safety Management regulations and internal organizational PSM standards.
- Promotes and advises on best practices for maintaining compliance with process safety regulations to engineers, process supervisors, operators and craftsmen.
- Completes monthly monitoring of key metrics related to process safety performance.
- Performs gap analysis and develops action plans to drive HSSE performance to world class level.
- Ensures the departmental operating procedures and employee training are in compliance with OSHA 1910.119.
- Implements the Management of Change (MOC) process for the assigned unit or department.
- Maintains Verifies the department Process Safety Information (which includes assuring that P&IDs, equipment information, and information contained in the Process Safety Library are maintained and current updated through the MOC process).
- Conducts incident investigations, leading Root Cause Analysis and driving action items to closure.
- Leads Process Hazard Analysis (PHAs) - both pentannual revalidations and MOC required.
- Participates in department and site wide compliance audits.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS Degree or 5 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing, refinery or other related industrial environment.
- Knowledge and practice of OSHA 1910.119 PSM elements and EPA RMP 40 CFR 68.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience as a Process Safety Specialist or Engineer assigned to a petro-chemical process unit.
EDUCATION:
Minimum Required: Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Preferred: BS in Chemical Engineering or related science field.
