What a great opportunity for an experienced machinist! We are looking for someone to set up and operate the Hardinge T-42 machine. You will be responsible for prioritizing work in your area to meet daily production goals. If you are self-directed and collaborate well as part of a small team this could be the job for you!

Day shift - weekdays only!

Summer hours: 10-hour day shifts Monday - Thursday!

Responsibilities Include:

• Organize production orders in the work center
• Measure and visually inspect finished parts for compliance with drawings and to ensure that parts are satisfactory in every respect
• Operate single spindle machine for secondary operations
• Maintain clean and clutter free work environment (mop, organize, empty oil separator)
• Change tubes, collets, chucks, and stamps as necessary
• Troubleshoot equipment and quality issues
• Scan production orders and send the programs to the machines
• Perform secondary operation on parts, such as cleaning and sanding

Requirements:

• Milling machine/ CNC machinist experience
• Experience using micrometers
• Good math skills
• FANUC experience preferred
• Ability to read blueprints/ drawings preferred
• Able to work accurately with high level of attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize workload
• Good computer skills
• Able to work independently with little direction
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to sit or stand, walk and reach throughout the shift
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity
• High School Diploma or GED
