Overview of this Position:

The Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Administrator is the process owner for the Manufacturing Execution System, driving the optimization of manufacturing processes. Responsibilities encompass designing, developing, implementing, enhancing, and maintaining the MES software application. The ultimate goal is to seamlessly integrate production operations with our business systems, leading to improved efficiency, reduced errors, and enhanced overall performance. This role collaborates with IT, IT/OT, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure the successful deployment of the system and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Role is Monday through Friday and based on-site. Must be flexible in providing support to accommodate other inputs (production schedules, shutdowns, etc.). Occasional extended hours and / or off-hour work may be required.


Non-Negotiable Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer/information systems, or equivalent directly related experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or equivalent area in manufacturing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with an MES.
  • Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of GMP, EU/FDA regulations, and safety regulations, preferred. 
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation Pharma Suite or similar platform. Preferred.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Support onboarding, testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of the MES to ensure system reliability and the accuracy of data.
  • Create documented processes and procedures to meet quality and compliance standards, including GMP regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with industry-specific regulations, such as FDA guidelines and GMP requirements.
  • Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address challenges that arise, further enhancing manufacturing operations.
  • Utilize excellent communication skills to effectively communicate project goals, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with key internal and external partners.
  • Lead in continuous improvement projects related to MES.
  • Support the development and configuration of inventory management solutions for the manufacturing recipe process utilizing Process Control Records and Specification documents to ensure accurate system integration with MES system.
  • Directly responsible for the expansion and development of MES across the organization in support of advancing and growing the business.
  • Establish and advance a high performing team of SMEs by training, coaching, and developing people on the use of the MES for production operations.
  • Build solutions using an agile framework for the entire solution lifecycle including designing, implementing, automating, modernizing, maintaining, and optimizing solutions.
