POSITION SUMMARY:

Assist in plant activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Must meet Ability-One requirements.
2. Load and unload materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids, conveyors, or trucks.
3. Deliver parts or stock to designated work areas for use.
4. Lift part or stock onto machine and secures it on machine table, in chuck, or holding fixture to assist in setting up machine.
5. Assemble and/or packs products as required.
6. Receive and stocks finished product from the machines.
7. Remove scrap material from the machines.
8. Straps skids according to specs.
9. Cleans and sweeps around work areas.
10. Comply with safety regulations and rules.
11. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
12. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Qualifications

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed on the job analysis are representative of the skill, and/or ability required.

Education: High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Experience: Previous loading and unloading of materials, previous knowledge of shipping specs, preferred.

Specific Skills: English/Spanish proficiency. Must be able to follow instructions.

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: None required.

Other Skills and Abilities: None.  

Physical Demands: Continuously stands, walks, grasps, and pushes up to 25 pounds. Occasionally sits, kneels, pulls, squats, and reaches. Frequently bends. Must be able to lift/move up to 30 pounds. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.   The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and extreme heat. May be exposed to loud work environment.
