Position Summary
Facilities Maintenance I assists Facilities Maintenance II in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the building common areas. Follows safety precautions to prevent product contamination and injuries to self or others.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Keeps facilities and common areas clean and maintained.
- Vacuums, sweeps, buffs and mops floors.
- Cleans and stocks restrooms.
- Cleans up spills with appropriate equipment.
- Notifies managers of necessary repairs.
- Collects and disposes of trash.
- Assists guests when necessary.
- Properly cleans upholstered furniture.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Technical Skills Required
- Attention to detail.
- Basic math skills.
- Able to read and write English preferred
Experience Required
- Ability to manage time efficiently.
- Work well unsupervised.
- Ability to lift at least 75 pounds.
- Handle basic maintenance and cleaning.
- High school diploma. preferred
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with hotel guests.
- Hard worker.
Physical Requirements
- Lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds, walking and standing for long periods of time.
- Able to bend, kneel, and stretch.
- Able to handle heavy cleaning equipment.
- Available for overtime when needed.
