The Machinery Analyst’s primary focus will be to manage multiple PDM (Predictive Maintenance) programs, on-site balancing, laser alignment and machinery troubleshooting in a diverse industrial atmosphere including Biopharmaceutical, Power, Water Treatment and Manufacturing. What you'll be doing:

  • Support call-out vibration analysis, alignment, and balancing as required. Must analyze and report findings without the assistance of other analysts (is encouraged to ask for help when needed).

  • Support PdM program data collection, analysis, and reporting using required tools.

  • Support phone and on-site meetings regarding any troubleshooting or acceptance testing you may have been involved with.

  • Interacts with customers to promote service contracts and assists with problem resolution.

  • Build vibration databases from scratch using AMS; including point setup, alarm parameters, fault frequencies, and routes.

  • Interacts with customers, factory, and other Caltrol teams/departments to develop process improvement and increased customer satisfaction.

  • Performs other duties as required.

What we're looking for:

  • Must be well versed in Service Call Work (Balancing and Laser Alignment).

  • 4 Years of experience in the following: Industrial Mechanical field Component balancing and laser alignment Vibration Analysis.

  • Minimum 2 years of Level II or expert analysis (i.e., Resonance testing, Phase Analysis, and on-site troubleshooting and solutions, including the understanding of industry specifications such as HI, ANSI, and API).

  • Proficient in in-depth analysis and reporting on all tested equipment using a Full Spectrum Analyzer, Vibration Analysis software (Emerson AMS a plus), Microsoft Word/Excel, and Acrobat.

  • Home-based high-speed internet with home office space.

  • The ability to perform all required field tasks under pressure; in some cases, providing the result and solution of the analysis to the customer while on site.

  • Strong Customer Service skills Verbal and written skills to effectively communicate.

  • Self-motivated and a self-starter.

  • Must be able to work overtime when needed to assist our customers, including extended shifts and periodic weekends.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record as well as the ability to maintain an excellent driving record.

Hiring Range:

The hiring range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 annually. This is the pay scale range Caltrol reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary based on geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience of the candidate along with the requirements of the position.

Expected Hours:

A typical work week will be M-F, 8 to 10 hrs. Overtime, including extended shifts and weekends, may occasionally occur.

Work Environment:

Will primarily work from a home office; Caltrol will provide necessary equipment but office setup will be at employee’s cost. Will occasionally visit customer sites where environments will vary. Sites will be loud, may be warm in summer or cold in winter, and will include both indoor and outdoor sites.

**Travel: **

Will regularly visit customer sites within home location 75% of time. Travel within larger Caltrol Territory (CA, NV, AZ) 25% of time.

Physical Demands:

Physical abilities to include climbing ladders, climbing towers, working in confined spaces, working on elevated platforms, and lifting devices. Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
