Hood Packaging Corporation a world leader in the packaging industry is looking for a Miraflex Operator I to join our team in our Summerville, SC facility.  The Miraflex Operator I is responsible for operating the Miraflex printing press to achieve production requirements to meet customers’ expectations.  Assist in assuring HACCP, GMP's, Work Instructions, and Food Safety Quality system requirements (SQF) are in compliance.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Create & maintain safe work area as well as meeting quality and productivity requirements

•    Assure that quality monitors, production reports, and any other necessary documents are properly completed.

•    Assure that all Hood Packaging Corporation or customer ordered quality checks, tests, and procedures are carried out.

•    Direct work and training of crew.  Operator I can make suggestions for additional training of crew to the Plant Engineer.

•    Organize pre-setup and obtaining materials necessary to start the next order.

•    Communicate all pertinent information to the Operator I on the next shift.

•    Assist the Ink Technician as needed to develop proper ink colors on press to meet job requirements

•    Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Engineer/Supervisor/Plant Manager

Education & Experience

•    High School Diploma or equivalent

•    Training/Experience – On the job with a qualified Operator
