Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Brown & Sharpe setup/operator to join our team at our facility in Broadview, IL, 60155. As a setup/operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our production runs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control, machine setups, and blueprint reading, along with proficiency in using various measurement tools and quality control software.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine setups for production runs using Brown & Sharpe equipment
• Utilize calipers, micrometers, measurement gauges, and optical comparators to ensure precise measurements
• Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process to identify any defects or deviations from specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand product requirements and specifications
• Use quality control software to record and analyze inspection data
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during production
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Brown & Sharpe setup/operator or similar role
• Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, measurement gauges, and optical comparators
• Familiarity with quality control software for data recording and analysis
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints to understand product specifications
• Experience in conducting quality inspections and identifying defects
• Knowledge of machine setups for production runs
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in measurements
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience with Keyence and Mitutoyo machine brands is preferred
