Mity-Lite, Inc. a Utah County furniture manufacturer is seeking an Extrusion Operator  to join their Injection Molding team. 

The Extrusion Operator will set up and run the extrusion profiles for ABS Table parts.

The primary responsibilities  include but are not limited to the following:

• Monitors and oversees the production of the extruded profiles used in table and cart assembly.
• Performs the change overs of the production dies for the various profiles; C-edge, ABS Trim, Snap covers and PVC table trim.
• Performs daily start up and shut down of the extrusion equipment.
• Ensures that the equipment, water temp controllers, sprayers, material dryers and extruder heats and pressures are set up properly and within proper specifications. Performs trouble shooting and checks quality to produce product that is within company requirements and quality.
• Ensures proper color shades match similar parts made in another process.
• Measures the parts using the calipers, pin gauges and feeler gauges against the part drawings to verify part tolerances are met.
• Ensures that the work area, machines and equipment are operating safely and are clean and orderly.
• Provides technical feedback to engineers and VSL (Value Stream Leaders) on process and tooling problems.
• Reports output, scrap and issues to VSL.
• Performs other related duties and tasks as required.

Qualifications

The following are qualifications that are necessary for a person to be considered for this position.

Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
• Previous Extruder experience preferred.
• Previous Plastic processing experience preferred.
