Rowdy Supply, a K-Solv Group company, is a distributor of environmental and safety products with multiple warehouses across the Gulf Coast. Rowdy Supply has access to hundreds of manufacturers and suppliers to provide thousands of industrial and safety products to virtually any industry.
We are seeking a motivated, qualified individual to join our company as a Business Development Manager. This position will be responsible for promoting and selling environmental and safety products to new customers while maintaining current customers and developing strategies to increase revenue. All work will be performed in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Generate new business and ensure growth of existing customer accounts; develop and implement specific customer plans and priorities in support of organizational goals and objectives
- Lead all phases of the sales lifecycle to include prospecting, lead generation, cold calling, client meetings, RFPs, quotes/pricing, proposal development, contract negotiation, and customer onboarding
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships
- Present sales presentations and perform cost-benefit and needs analysis for existing and potential customers
- Travel throughout territory to meet with existing and prospective customers to assess and manage current and upcoming needs
- Partner and follow up with internal departments and team members to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment and delivery of orders
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management
- Resolve order and invoice discrepancies; assist with collecting on past due accounts
- Participate in business related meetings, conferences, social functions, and organizations to boost the overall exposure of the Company
- Develop and maintain up to date knowledge of Company and competitor products and pricing, customer trends and feedback, new products, industry, and market changes
- Advise leadership team of any potential concerns or improvements
- Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses
- Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two (2) or more years of full lifecycle sales experience within a similar industry
- Valid state issued drivers license
- Microsoft Office experience
- Ability to travel within assigned territory
Knowledge, Skill, & Abilities
- Knowledge of the full cycle sales process and excel at generating leads and rapport building
- Strong negotiating, selling, and closing skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Strong time management, organizational, and analytical skills
- Detail orientated with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend associated documents and maps
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to follow all company policies and procedures
- Ability to work other than scheduled times as necessary to meet deadlines or ensure that daily work is completed
