Description

We have an immediate opportunity for a Quality Engineer to develop systems, procedures, and work methods for process and product quality control:

• Create procedures/work instructions (standard work), process plans, and flow charts for current processes with a focus and emphasis on new products
• Facilitate root cause analysis process for internal and external variances
• Update quality manual, quality system procedures, and department procedures to be in compliance with standards and customer specifications
• Schedule and conduct internal audits and participate in external quality audits
• Improvement Projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial Engineer preferred)
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in quality engineering in a manufacturing environment
• A minimum of (3) years auditing experience
• A minimum of (3) years of experience with formal process control and quality control and writing procedures for process control
• A minimum of (3) years of experience in quality or engineering within a technical and highly regulated industry

Preferred:

• ASQ certification in quality engineering, auditing
• Implementation of quality system for ISO or AS9100
• Familiarity with NAVSEA or Defense requirements
• Creation of complex spreadsheets or simple databases to accomplish routine work
