Job Title:     Production Manager 

Reports to:     Director of R&P Delivery 

Job Summary: 

This position works within the rental and production delivery department to plan and provide quotations and provide direction and management for all aspects of productions for VLS customers.  The production manager is responsible for managing crews on the job site and working with the operations team on show prep in the shop. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Work alongside an account executive to deliver a high-quality product to the client 

• Manage the scope, timeframe and budget of each production 

• Source sub rentals/subcontractors as needed 

• Management of productions from planning through execution 

• Drafting and documentation of production elements 

• Event production including lighting and production design 

• Work with operations manager to plan all aspects of production 

• Works with other departments/offices to ensure “One VLS” 

Qualifications & Education: 

• BA or BFA in theatre or related field preferred but not required 

• Effective communication skills 

• Lighting programming experience 

• Ability to manage crews at all levels of experience
