POSITION SUMMARY: Oversee, Support and Coordinate all key milestones to properly plan and manage all the aircraft maintenance and modification projects. Coordinate closely with related departments to maintain schedules and effect necessary changes and revisions. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proven ability to support multiple projects with medium to high complexity. Consistent track record of on-time and on-quality delivery. 
  • Developing and executing activities related to end-to-end program/project management, including project plans and estimates, scoping and requirements through implementation and deployment. 
  • Proactively manage work across different workforces if needed, monitor and report on execution of deliverables through all program/project phases. 
  • Assumes responsibility for the efficient, timely, and accurate tracking of materials for production.
  • Coordination across work streams for on-time delivery 
  • Overall program planning and status tracking using Microsoft Project & Empower MX. 
  • Communication to Client Leadership Teams 
  • Facilitate and organize meetings. 
  • Status reporting to senior management 
  • Ensures required equipment and human resources are available to meet proposed schedule. 
  • Develops workflow chart for project and updates it each day to track progress and problem areas.
  • Monitors hours expended on flat-rated jobs. Reports results daily to all managers to enhance project performance. 
  • Assists in managing labor.
  • Acts as liaison between planning, the customer and operations. 
  • Updates work scope as CRI and N/R items develop. 
  • Ensures plan of work is followed. Tracks paperwork flow for accountability 
  • Assess cost effectiveness of projects or services, tracking actual cost vs. bids as the project develops. 
  • Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing and scheduling work. 
  • Assumes responsibility for maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with Company personnel and management.
  • Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
  • Assists management in ensuring staff has the resources and good understanding of job responsibilities. 
  • Assists management in ensuring subordinates are properly trained for the job.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High school graduate or equivalent. 
  • 5 years or more of experience as a coordinator/expediter/ planner in a manufacturing/production Environment. 
  • Strong PM skills needed to plan & manage a project rollout. 
  • Experience in aviation planning, customer support, and repair customer services activities. 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Additional related training and education preferred.
  • A&P License is preferred. 
  • PMP preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in indoor and outdoor settings. The indoor settings include office and warehouse environments which require the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as safety gear. The outdoor settings include parking lots and airplane runways. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud. Occasionally subject to varying inside and/or outside temperatures, which may include extreme heat (temperatures above 100 degrees) or extreme cold (temperatures below 32 degrees).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required use the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects. 

Medium work; exerts up to 50 lbs. occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently , and 10 lbs. constantly. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 

TRAVEL:  Travel may occasionally be required for this position (10% or less).
