Description

Job Purpose: Responsible for companys industrial electrical needs related to facilities and machining, including new installations and ongoing maintenance of each. Also, includes active participation in new process planning and continuous improvement of existing processes and layouts.

Qualifications:

• Education and Experience: Licensed Journeyman Electrician with a contractors license
• Knowledge: Knowledge of electrical codes relating to industrial requirements, machine installation and repair, machine controllers, building construction and maintenance.
• Skills & Abilities: Effective verbal and written communication skills

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Job:

1. Responsible for all electrical activities at Whitehall Industries, Inc. locations, including investigation, recommendation and implementation of all equipment and building electrical needs.
2. Responsible for training of any apprentice electricians leading to the attainment of a State of Michigan Journeymans license.
3. Work closely with the Engineering, Maintenance and Production departments on electrical needs as related to both new installation and maintenance of equipment as well as process improvement implementations.
4. Oversee electrical safety in all areas of company.
5. Other duties as assigned.

Training Requirements: New Hire Orientation, Scissor Lift training, Arial Lift tTraining, PPE training

Level of Authority:

1. Approve routine purchases related to electrical maintenance and installation requirements. Recommend purchases over budget limit.
2. Immediate resolution of serious safety issues.

Physical Demands: Requires standing and walking for long periods of time, lifting up to 50 lbs, use of ladders, occasional work outdoors.
