Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled 2nd Shift CNC Machinist to join our team at our facility located in Alsip, IL, 60803. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC Mill and Lathe machines to produce high-quality precision parts. This is a second shift position, offering competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) and CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) machines
• Perform machine setups for production runs
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Use GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to ensure accurate dimensions and tolerances
• Program machines using G-Code and M-Code
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal functionality
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC) and CNC Lathe (5+ axis) machines
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings
• Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Ability to program machines using G-Code and M-Code
• Experience with machine setups for production runs
• Familiarity with machine brands such as Dmg Mori Seiki, Hurco, and Mazak
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Availability to work on the second shift
