Description
PURPOSE:
Provides general and detailed maintenance (either with direct or indirect supervision), including patching, painting, hardware repairs and other repair/replacement work as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs routine facility maintenance.
- Inspects assigned buildings and spaces.
- Completes documents for work performed in a timely manner.
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc.)
- Repair/caulk walls, floors, ceilings as necessary.
- Perform manual building repairs as needed.
- Creates and completes tasks in E-Maintenance.
- Operates various types of lift equipment (scissor lift, forklift, basket lift, electric pallet jack).
- Paint after structure repairs.
- Monitors and maintains the proper operation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Aility to use hand tools, power tools, and shop tools.
- Knowledge of and ability to use electrical meters.
- TIG/MIG welding of stainless steel.
- Metal fabrication is a plus.
- Basic carpentry, plumbing, and painting skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with ability to receive and respond to work assignments in both formats.
- Read, comprehend, and work from plans and operating instructions.
- Follow oral and written instructions; maintain cooperative working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse population.
- Demonstrated time management skills and including multi-tasking.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge in mechanical equipment and the understanding of mechanical principals.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lifting up to 50lbs.
- Man lift and forklift experience is a plus.
- Must be able to stand or walk for the majority of the shift.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma
- Vocational school a plus.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
· Food Industries experience is a plus.
