Purpose

 Under limited supervision, repairs and rebuilds concrete pumps, and truck chassis for heavy equipment. 

 Essential Job Functions

  • Troubleshoot equipment to evaluate repairs that are needed on concrete pumps and heavy equipment truck chassis.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, suspension, drivetrain, engine and transmission problems and complete appropriate repairs.
  • Perform DOT Inspections.
  • Disassemble, measure, reposition and install parts according to engineering drawings and standard work instructions.
  • Road Test Unit to diagnose problems.
  • Test assembled parts or products to ensure the unit is functioning properly and meets quality specifications. 
  • Follow established safety and environmental procedures.
  • Comply with workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices and procedures.
  • Maintain tools and the workspace in good condition.
  • Maintenance and Service Repair.
  • May perform reasonably similar or related duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Physical Demands:

  • Perform repetitive work while moving around, under, and over equipment while on the production floor 90% of the time.
  • Perform work outdoors in all weather 5% to 10% of the time.
  • Heavy machinery operation. 

Education/Skills/Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Formal training beyond high school (certification or associate degree in auto repair), preferred.
  • 2-4 years’ experience working with heavy construction equipment, preferred.
  • CDL driver’s license with current health card required.
  • DOT Inspection Certification required.
  • Solid understanding of hydraulic, electrical, gas and diesel systems.
  • Technical knowledge of the equipment and tools is required.
  • Strong Attention to detail.
  • Self-starter.
  • Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints, hydraulic and electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with computers to look up work instructions, track labor and other tasks as needed.

 


First Shift
Full time position with benefits. Average 40+ hours. week.
