Job Title: Render Puller, Separator, Non-Select line
Reports To: Production Supervisor

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

• Render Puller is to empty raised and drained renders and put them in cooling tables and do all necessary cleanups at end of shift.
• Separator is to line boxes, fill boxes to the appropriate weight with the correct labels, and tape up, and run through metal detector.
• Correctly fill out paperwork to keep track of batches

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily: Render Puller
• After render is raised and drained empty it into cooling tables
• Move cooling tables to fans to cool.
• Prepare renders for another batch of skins
• Clean-up all renders and floors around them.

Daily: Separator
• Ensure Correct Screen configuration / change if needed
• Ensure correct labels / Change if needed
• Conduct scale checks
• Line boxes, fill to appropriate weigh and correctly label them
• Close boxes, tape shut, and run through metal detector
• Correctly fill out paperwork to keep track of batches
• End of shift cleaning

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TOO:

• Follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures
• Make sure agitator is off before raking out product
• Wear Orange gloves when pulling renders
• Wear hearing protection in all areas of the plant
• Follow all common employee safety practices
• Forklift safety and checklist
• No blocking of emergency exits, fire doors or eye wash stations
• Slip resistant shoes mandatory

FOOD SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TOO:

• Follow all Food Safety regulations and GMPs
• Check metal detector and scale every two hours and sign off on them
• Take mandatory HACCP samples when running new product each week

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
