ATI is hiring a CNC Machinist II for our Huntsville, Alabama facility. This is a 2nd shift position and typically works Monday through Friday from 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm.  As a CNC Machinist II, you'll play a pivotal role in the manufacturing process, utilizing your expertise to set up, operate, and maintain computer-numerical-controlled (CNC) machinery. Your responsibilities include producing precision parts according to specifications, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring high-quality production output.

 

Responsibilities:

• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
• Prepare CNC machines for operation by loading tools, entering program codes, and adjusting machine settings based on technical drawings and specifications.
• Operate CNC equipment to manufacture parts with strict adherence to quality standards, ensuring accuracy, surface finish, and dimensional correctness.
• Conduct meticulous inspections of finished parts using precision measuring tools to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards in accordance with ISO 9001 & AS9100.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments to maintain optimal machine performance.
• Maintain detailed records of production output, machine maintenance, and any encountered issues during the manufacturing process.

• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics (geometry, trigonometry) and part drawings / standards.
• Perform set-up, adjustments and operate CNC 3 Axis and 5 axis machines according to instructions with minimal supervision or assistance.
