High Level Statement of the Role:

To support Manufacturing/ Quality by providing information from Data Collection, Process Auditing, Part Inspection and Analysis, Participation on Continuous Improvement and Corrective Action activities and the communication of In-House and Supplier Quality Data as well as maintaining the Calibration Program when required.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

(Include Safety and Environmental, Quality, and Job Specific Roles and Responsibilities) 

·        Performance Metric on Quality Scorecard for Area of Responsibility

·        Identification and communication of nonconforming product.

·        Assist with problem solving on recurring issues utilizing data analysis and problem solving techniques.

·        Assist and perform inspections, measuring, and testing requirements for all parts / processes in their area of responsibility

·        Assist and perform required testing:

Some examples include: Color Hue Testing

                                        Humidity Testing

                                        IFD Testing

                                        Material Stretch Testing

                                        Seam Slippage Testing

·        Assist in inspecting their areas 1st Article submittals, and part inspections prior to Pilot Runs

·        Facilitate and/or work with quality improvement teams

·        Participate and work with Product Development Teams including Pilot Run participation, reviews, feedback and action development

·        Provide inspection, sampling and process control requirements, develop Quality Control Plans, including CTQ’s and SFVS

·        Works with Quality Engineer & purchasing on Supplier QN issues.

·        Control and maintain the accuracy of the Masters used in the calibration process.

·        Insures Calibration process is maintained and followed through the accurate distribution or removal, active and not active tooling/gauges and documenting the status.   

·        Auditing product and or processes

·        Participate in and drive corrective actions including participation in FMEA activity and actions

·        Support the Vision and Guiding Principles and other policies of Kimball International and National Office Furniture.

·        Follow and support the Quality system.

·        Support our Environmental Management System (EMS).
